So we are with more people than ever, duhh. But besides that, people are traveling more than ever as well. Not only crossing the world for holidays, but also from home to work and to interesting places, festivals, friends and whatsoever. This causes many problematic traffic jams in big cities and further. The more people, the more traffic jams, the more accidents. So what is the solution? Automatic cars? More public transport? We will come (or already have come) to a point where there is now more space for extra roads or more subways so we have to innovate. I found some very cool concepts on the Internet about faster and more efficient transportation. When there is a problem, for example city traffic jams, it forces people to be creative and found a solution. The Bus-way is for example a great solution for the overload of traffic in crowded cities. It can transport many people above ground without interrupting the current traffic. The Hyperloop and the Boom Airplane are amazing innovations to transport people faster and more efficient over the world. The last thing I want to bring up is the Light Rider. This is the world’s first 3D-printed motorcycle. What if we can print our own vehicles at home? What if everyone can print as many cars as he likes? Than maybe everything goes out of control and the ways be way too overloaded. With the Light Rider I see more problems than solutions. Printing vehicles may be efficient and cheap, but if we can ever do this at home situation will go out of hand. I don’t know what the future of transportation will look like, but I’m sure we will be amazed.

This subject couldn’t miss out at my blog. There is a lot going on in the field of transportation, for the biggest part thanks to technology. How will we transport ourselves from A to B in 10 years? Or 20? Nobody knows, but it is definitely interesting to take a look on what the options are.

The population on earth is increasing rapidly. In 1955 there were about 2.7 billion people on the earth. Now, 60 years later, that number has grown to 7.4 billion and by the time we reach 2025 there will be more than 8 billion people walking on this very earth. These numbers are amazing and to be honest, they scare me a bit as well. But it’s a good thing we have got this knowledge, because in this way we can prepare ourselves. Interesting question: how are all these people going to travel in the future?
