So what is this all about? The smart developers of Hyperkin LAB must have had the same problem many of 25 year old are dealing with: where are the old Gameboy games? Some may still have the device somewhere in a closet or in the attic. But who is going to carry that around all day? If you are having the same problem, there’s now a solution: The Smart Boy! It is a device that fits on every 4.6- till 5-inch smartphone. It looks like the Gameboy Classic with buttons and everything. All the games of the Gameboy Classic, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advanced are working on it. It brings you back to the good old days. So why do we want this kind of old-school stuff combined to the things we use now? Is it vintage? Do we really miss the days of yore or is it “cool” to go old school? What’s a fact is that we can link this to the trend authenticity. Old is the new new. Whatever the cause may be, it keeps old stuff alive. In this way we don’t have to throw old games away which reduces electronic waste. And that is always a good thing, isn’t it?
