EvaDrop is a simple device that you can install in your shower. It is a smart device that can control the water that comes out of your shower. One of the biggest waste while showering, is the part where you wait until the water has reached the right temperature. EvaDrop holds the water for so long, that it has exactly the temperature you like. It also lowers the amount of water when you lean away from the shower to get a bottle of shampoo for example. When you are further away to, let’s say, shave your legs; EvaDrop reduces the water even more. It also reminds you if you are showering “too long” to help you shorten your showers. With an app you can see your progress and even challenge your friends. All different kind of ways to reduce water, but not in a tedious kind of way. I think that last part is very important if tools like this have to be marketable. Keep up the good work and support these kind of projects.
Sustainability is one of the most important long-term trends of the last decennia and it seems to stay so for a while. We get more aware of the fact that the world is running out of energy and we have to come to action to stop this. Thanks to new technologies as EvaDrop it is not such a hard thin to do.
If we look at sustainability, water is a big part of it. Although the world consists for 2/3 out of water, there are many people dying because they don’t have drinkable water. On the other hand many people are using drinkable water to clean themselves. EvaDrop is not going to change that, but it will reduce the amount of spilled water largely.
